Kwame Kilpatrick (D-MI) is not a moral man and certainly does not care about the city he claims to love. All of us here in Michigan are about to take a tour with the Mayor as our tour guide, to plumb the depth of the break down of the family in Detroit, starting with his own.Danian Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18033310292912226724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752909222389847201.post-17777311082783411422008-03-28T11:51:00.000-04:002008-03-28T11:51:00.000-04:00Hey A.P.No my implicit assumption is NOT that peop...Hey A.P.

No my implicit assumption is NOT that people from strong families tend to vote conservative. What I am saying is that a Mayor like Kwame Kilpatrick would be offensive to people with strong moral values and those people tend to come from intact families. That’s all I’m saying.

Do my eyes deceive me or did you and I actually agree on something… interesting.Danian Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18033310292912226724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752909222389847201.post-24613716634816973202008-03-27T18:15:00.000-04:002008-03-27T18:15:00.000-04:00If I'm reading right, I think the part about the t...If I'm reading right, I think the part about the two-parent family was a reference to the region growing. I didn't see any conservative or liberal intent behind that, but I may have missed it. Yes, the breakdown of the family is a catalyst for many social problems. That is NOT to say that fine people haven't been raised in single parent homes--it's just a lot tougher. I believe most statistics back up the fact that children are much better off with both the mother and father present. That all said...it looks like people from across the political spectrum are in agreement that Kwame should resign for the good of Detroit.Gailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03109789913515388953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752909222389847201.post-47327941641881138162008-03-27T17:54:00.000-04:002008-03-27T17:54:00.000-04:00It is truly a mystery to me how that dude got elec...It is truly a mystery to me how that dude got elected, let alone re-elected. I'm not sure how having two parent families would change the voting habits of detroiters. from what I can remember, that was the trend when the forever corrupt and shady coleman young was mayor... in your opinion, does a broken family lead to more liberal voting records? Or voting for someone who is obviously not qualified for the job... I think one of the real problems with this type of stuff is the rockstar/celebrity status that politicians have taken in this country. I mean, why the hell does the city of detroit house it's mayor in a mansion, when the majority of it's population are living at or below the poverty line?BiGhEaDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01749975161810760244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752909222389847201.post-31432570693875963282008-03-27T17:51:00.000-04:002008-03-27T17:51:00.000-04:00Danian,I think you will find everyone on the same ...Danian,

I think you will find everyone on the same page for this one.

Kwame must leave for Detroit to survive this. But hasn't this been Detroit's problem all along; politicians who only care about themselves. Yes Danian, and also the breakdown of the family.Agent of changehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07136654766473385211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752909222389847201.post-999536291844568722008-03-26T22:30:00.000-04:002008-03-26T22:30:00.000-04:00Well Reality Check,I would argue that bringing bac...Well Reality Check,

I would argue that bringing back the two parent family is how our region will grow. Kwame Kilpatrick would not be Mayor today if Detroit had strong families, I'm sure of it. But for now, I can settle for holding the Mayor liable for his actions. Baby steps as they say right... baby steps.Danian Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18033310292912226724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-752909222389847201.post-32848068849332978672008-03-26T16:43:00.000-04:002008-03-26T16:43:00.000-04:00Hip-HOP hurray for Kim Worthy!
